How to Apply
*Scholarships are only awarded to citizens or legal permanent residents of US.
Online applications and supporting documents must be submitted online before April 16th of each calendar year. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or

In addition to the application form, an essay of not more than 400 words on your personal goals and where you envision yourself in the next 8-10 years needs to be submitted online.
Furthermore, the following documents need to be uploaded for evaluation by Selection Committee:
- Official college transcripts. The applicant’s transcripts must be uploadedfor review by the Scholarship Selection Committee. Applicants must have submitted their recent transcripts from at least the last three years of academic education. ISF has the right to request for a sealed transcript if needed.
- As a junior college transfer, the applicant will need the acceptance letter from an accredited four year college or university for full-time studies indicating the student’s major.
- Three letters of recommendation to be sent electronically to the Selection Committee: two from representatives of academic institutions, and one from the applicant’s Muslim organization or mosque.
Within one year upon receiving an award, all awardees must agree to complete 40 hours of Muslim community volunteer service in their respective field of studies under the supervision of ISF and its local operating partner. Such service shall include conducting a minimum one-day workshop within the awardees local Islamic community, with a career counseling section for teenagers.

FAQ
- Q: Are non-Muslims eligible for this scholarship?
A: No. This scholarship fund is specifically for Muslim students who satisfy all the requirements mentioned above.

- Q: How much is the amount of scholarship?
A: Usually between $1000-$10,000 per calendar year. The final award amount depends on several factors such as which university the candidates will attend and the strength of its programs in ISF’s targeted fields of study, the candidates major, the candidates past record of, or concrete plans for assisting the Islamic community, etc.
- Q: Do the awardees have to repay the scholarship?
A: No. Once the recipients satisfy all requirements, no repayment is required.
