Program Description
ISF’s goal is to encourage Muslim students to pursue a college or post-graduate degrees in humanities, social sciences, liberal arts and law through awarding annual scholarships of $1000-$10,000 to deserving students.

Eligibility
Scholarships are awarded to Muslim students who have been accepted to top- ranked four-year colleges and universities for undergraduate and post-graduate studies in the aforementioned areas of study. The applicant must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:
- Muslim
- Citizen or permanent resident of U.S.
- Minimum of 3.4 grade point average
- College Junior standing or above
- Active member of his or her community

Selection Process
All applications must be submitted online no later than April 16th of each calendar year. Applications are reviewed within a 2-3 month period and scholarships will generally be awarded during the first week of August. The selection criteria are based on:
- Academic record (grades and achievement scores)
- School activities (sports, clubs, etc.)
- Extracurricular activities, especially in the Muslim community (volunteering, work, etc.)
- Any extenuating and unusual circumstances related to the applicant
- Other factors that may help in distinguishing and differentiating the applicant based on the information submitted
- Personal interview

Operating Partners
ISF engages Muslim organizations as operating partners to administer its scholarship program on a local level, both in terms of fundraising and selecting scholarship recipients. Our goal is to expand the footprint of this program to a national level.
